Sales Manager

Sales Manager / Sales Leader / Sales Operations Manager required to join a global, market leading electrical manufacturer.   The ideal Sales Manager / Sales Leader / Sales Operations Manager will have the opportunity to lead a talented sales team, including field sales engineers and a Business Development Manager. They will optimize operational effectiveness and foster strategic partnerships to drive revenue and margin growth in the Power Monitoring and Switching sector.  This is a hybrid position based in the South UK, ideally within commuting distance to the office near Milton Keynes or Swindon. The role requires a willingness to travel across the UK for more than half of the time when not working from home or the office in the South UK.   The ideal Sales Manager / Sales Leader / Sales Operations Manager will have a proven track record of success in managing sales teams within the electrical engineering industry, particularly with switchgear, metering products, power distribution systems, and automation controls. An electrical engineering background is essential. Package £70,000-£75,000 depending on experience Car allowance - £572 per month  Bonus 8% penision contribution Healthcare Phone, Laptop plus additional benefits   Sales Manager / Sales Leader / Sales Operations Manager Role: Lead and support the Sales Team in achieving revenue and margin targets while ensuring operational excellence. Align sales strategies with company goals and objectives in collaboration with the UK Managing Director. Develop relationships with PCO-P and Expert Services Sales Managers to offer integrated solutions. Strengthen presence in Data Centre and Medical sectors by delivering tailored switchgear and metering solutions. Foster collaboration and teamwork within the sales team for effective communication and coordination. Monitor market trends and competitor activities, adapting strategies accordingly. Act as a brand ambassador, representing manufacturing values and commitment to excellence. Liaise with various engineering departments.Sales Manager / Sales Leader / Sales Operations Manager Requirements: Proven track record of success in managing sales teams within the electrical engineering industry, particularly with switchgear, metering products, power distribution systems, and automation controls. An electrical engineering background is essential. Experience as a Sales Manager, UK Sales Manager, General Manager, Sales Leader, or similar within electrical engineering, ideally manufacturing. Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire a team towards hitting sales targets. Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business growth and customer satisfaction within the electrical engineering sector. Knowledge of Data Centre and Medical sectors is advantageous. Willingness to travel UK wide over half of the time when not office or home-based. A technical electrical engineering degree would be beneficial
