Accountant

• This role will report directly to the Assistant Manager of Financial Reporting
• Assist in the preparation of Fund financial statements under IFRS and ASPE
• Prepare and maintain various schedules and ensure completeness and accuracy of data
• Prepare monthly and year-end adjustments and entries required to close off general ledgers
• Work with and assist external auditors to ensure reporting deadlines are met
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial reporting systems and processes to streamline operations and enhance efficiency
• Stay updated on accounting standard updates and create and assist memo's as needed
• Work with Operational Finance Managers to provide technical accounting guidelines to ensure proper treatment of complex accounting issues
• Support other ad-hoc projects and initiatives

About You

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business.
• Working towards obtaining a CPA designation.
• General understanding and knowledge of accounting principles; ASPE and IFRS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Someone who enjoys a challenge and wants to expand and improve current knowledge and skills.
• Prior internship, co-op, or work experience in accounting is considered an asset

Salary Range
$60,000 - $65,000/year
