Machinist - Extrusion Operative Our manufacturing client based in Romsey are looking for a Machinist to work on their extrusion machines. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company who offer great training and development. Job Description The primary role of the Machinist will be to set and operate the site's extrusion machines, so experience of extrusion machines will be preferred. Key Responsibilities. * To set and operate the extrusion line * Head, die and pin changing and setting * Barrel and screw cleaning * Monitoring and maintaining quality * Assisting extrusion setters and other operatives Ideal Skills & Experience * The ideal experience for this role will be for previous experience of working with extrusion machines, if you have a strong machining background with knowledge of extruders this will also be considered. Salary/Hours/Benefits * £27000 - £33000 - 39 Hours per week, Overtime paid at Time 1/3 and in busy periods you'd be expected to work an extra 5 hours per week. * 7.00 - 17.00 Monday to Thursday, 13.00 finish on Fridays * Bonuses paid out 1-2 times per year (based on company performance) * Training Opportunities Please note - this company is very hard to get to with public transport.
