Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Test Supervisor to join our team at our purpose-built testing facility in Northamptonshire.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that tests are carried out to the correct standards and progressing as planned. They will also be responsible for supporting the ongoing tests with any technical problems and helping to resolve them.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in a test or production engineering environment. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work well in a team.
The role will involve monitoring progress across multiple mechanical and bespoke tests happening in the lab on a day-to-day basis. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that tests are being carried out to the correct H&S procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure tests are being carried out to correct standards and progressing as per plan.
- Support ongoing tests with any technical problems and help resolve them.
- Liaise with customers during testing to report testing progress.
- Ensure materials are ready in advance for testing.
- Support with the set up of tests when required.
- Support the Test Engineer with information required for test reports.
- Report on any issues with test equipment and any requirements for acquisition of new equipment for testing.
- Ensure tests are being carried out to the correct H&S procedures.
Requirements
- Strong background in mechanical engineering.
- Experience in a test or production engineering environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Comfortable working a morning shift pattern of 6am to 2pm.
