Our team in Mississauga currently has an opening for a Regulatory Affairs Manager.YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESJob Summary:To provide support to the organization in maintaining compliance and addressing needs related to new and existing business as they pertain to regulatory matters.Job Description:Manage risk considering legal compliance requirements, industry best practices, management system requirements, and the Responsible Distribution Canada’s Responsible Distribution Code of Practice.Oversee compliance with Canadian chemical control and environmental regulation that govern company activities, including but not limited to CEPA 1999, the Hazardous Products Act, the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, and the regulations made under these Acts.Maintain the legal register for all legislation relevant to company activities and responsibilities and ensure that changes in legislation are captured.Develop, document, and monitor processes related to corporate compliance, and ensure that the appropriate related documentation is properly controlled.Facilitate training and guidance of stakeholders both inside and outside of the Regulatory Affairs department with respect to regulatory requirements and related company processes and procedures.Facilitate responses to customer inquiries pertaining to regulatory matters, coordinating with other groups in QSHE/Regulatory team as required.Lead the Regulatory Affairs department towards the achievement of the departmental goals as above as well as safety goals.YOUR PROFILEEducation and Experience:Post-secondary education with a degree in chemistry or any related discipline would be an asset.Knowledge of the Canadian chemical regulatory landscape through education or experience is required.Years of experience in the chemical industry (or a related industry) and experience with people management to also be considered.Communication skills in both English and French, both written and verbal, and confidence with giving oral presentations are critical to this role.OUR OFFERWe aim to create an environment where the best people want to work, where they can turn their passion into their job and realize their full potential.Individual development, on-the-job training, and development programs designed to help our employees grow in their careers.Competitive pay and incentives.Health and dental paid by company (with exception of LTD).EFAP.Flexible Work Hours.Tuition Reimbursement.INTERESTED?Brenntag Canada Inc. is committed to building a workforce that reflects the communities we serve and to promote a diverse, inclusive, accessible, merit-based, respectful and equitable workplace.
