Identify and recruit talented young players for the academy through grassroots football assessments and reports.
The role involves attending grassroots football events, assessing players, and submitting reports to the Head of Academy Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing recommendations for talented players and keeping up to date with player movements within the designated area. Additionally, they will adhere to governing body scouting protocols and ensure all fixtures and players viewed are reported and documented as required.
Responsibilities:
- Recommend talented players to the Head of Academy Recruitment
- Keep up to date with player movements and developments within the designated area
- Adhere to scouting protocols
- Document all fixtures and players viewed
- Attend CPD, talent ID days, and trial matches to observe prospective players
- Adhere to the Scouts protocol in the recruitment of all players
- Improve the standard of players within the academy in all age groups
- Undertake reasonable Club requirements as set out by the Football Clubs Senior Management Team
- Be responsible and accountable for safeguarding at all times
Qualifications and Experience:
- FA Level 2 Talent ID
- FA Child Safeguarding
- Full Enhanced DBS
