Technical & Environmental Assistant

Technical & Environmental Assistant Alexander Steele is recruiting a technical & environmental assistant to join an internationally known FMCG manufacturing business based in Herefordshire. This is a dual role working in the technical team to drive our environmental and technical efforts. The technical and environmental assistant will understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes. Responsibilities: * Act as a role model and advocate for environmental sustainability and continuous improvement. Develop and implement efficient stock management processes to ensure accurate tracking all stored goods. * Conduct Internal Audits & Hygiene inspections. * Proactively seek areas for improvements, working with management to continually improve environmental compliance across the site in line with company vision and values which includes carbon & waste reduction initiatives. * Drive a Continuous Improvement culture, working in collaboration with other departments, to improve quality, controls, operating performance, reduce waste and control cost. * Lead ISO 14001 Audits. Background Experience: * Qualified to degree level, or equivalent. * Strong Food Safety & HACCP knowledge. * Formal Environmental training, IEMA certification would be desirable. * Experience of environmental management systems - ISO 14001 training. * Flexible approach to working and adaptable to change What’s on Offer: * Paying circa £32,000 * 25 days + banks * Onsite Monday – Friday 8:30am-5pm * Private medical care * 5% pension For more information regarding this opportunity contact Lomond MacPherson for a discussion
