We are hiring a Project Manager to join our growing team in Bedford, Nova Scotia. To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Your role within the team: To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Initial project planning including scope clarification and execution planning. Preparation of proposal submissions. Accountable for quality of design teams work. Prepare all technical documentation required for the execution of the project, including, but not limited to:Technical studiesDesign basisConceptual designsDetailed designsTechnical specificationsField workTender Phase servicesConstruction Phase ServicesRecord drawingsHealth and safety of the team Establish and maintain a climate favorable to the application of ethical and professional practices in the execution of the engineering work. Develop H&S plans for projects, and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and legislation, including occupational health and safety, WHMIS and hazardous substances programs. The ideal candidate: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related discipline. Professional Engineer with 10 years experience in project management and industrial / intuitional facilities buildings design with the ability to travel within Canada as required. Project Management Accreditation (PMP) an asset Ability to obtain public works security clearance as a condition of employment. Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices and the flow of design in project management including all project management functions, design, contracts, procurement of services, and project accounting. Understanding of change management process with proven ability to manage conflict resolution and multiple complex projects, including experience performing risk analysis, preparing contracts, and purchase orders.
