Posting Number: 24-77Date: August 13, 2024Vacancy & Classification:Health Information Management Professional (Accredited)Permanent, Full TimeSalary:$27.72 - $31.90 / hourly HoursTours as per ScheduleQualifications:Minimum 2 (two) year diploma in accredited Health Information Management program mandatory and current Professional membership with CHIMA (Canadian Health Information Management Association) required.Previous experience analyzing health information, coding and abstracting with ICD-10-CA and CCI and knowledge of national coding standards and practices essential.Knowledge of hospital ADT systems, abstracting programs, and report generators required – Experience with Epic, Winrecs and Crystal given preference.Retrieval and release of information in accordance with PHIPA and current legislation governing health information, hospital and departmental policies and procedures.Strong organizational and time management skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and ability to demonstrate RVH values.Ability to perform duties within the physical demands of the work area.Start Date:To be determined.
