Group Financial Controller

Group Financial Controller - £75,000 - £85,000 + Bonus & company benefits - London (Hybrid) FryerMiles are delighted to be partnering with a PE backed FMCG business in London, to assist in hiring a Group Financial Controller to join this fast-growing organisation. The Group Financial Controller is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all financial aspects of the company. This role has management responsibilities for the finance team and is responsible for ensuring the financial aspects of the business are managed and controlled. The role will work closely with the CFO and FD, to ensure efficient running of the finance teams, supporting the business to achieve its goals.  Responsibilities Include: Overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the finance department Ownership of the Business Model, ensuring its accuracy on an ongoing basis Production of Group accounts for review by the FD by the 6 th  working day of the month, reducing the current Month end close. Production of relevant reports to external stakeholders in a timely manner Management of the annual audit and corporation tax returns Responsibility for statutory reporting requirements including: VAT returns and PAYE reporting Assisting the CFO in the statutory account's preparation as well as liaising with auditors in end of year processes Support FD in administration of the external stakeholders and group structure Work with the FD&CFO in supporting the different departments of the business Provide management reports showing achievement against budget Provide support for analysis of actual results Accounting systems management and responsibility Supervise the Finance Team, with ultimate responsibility for their job roles Various project work, from improving Financial controls, Financial databook and accelerating month end Line management of the finance team: ensure that they have regular appraisals, clear objectives and a career plan to work towards Completion of any additional requests from the Finance Director Desired Skills: ACA qualified - Top 10 Experience within an FMCG/Retail company Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills First-rate communicator with the ability to build relationships with colleagues quickly Self-starter with a pro-active approach to their work Strong IT skills across finance systems and Advanced user of Excel Group Financial Controller - £75,000 - £85,000 + Bonus & company benefits - London (Hybrid)
