Provides leadership and direction to staff and project team, coordinators (. defines team member roles, responsibilities and expectations) including coaching and mentoring to ensure the quality and consistency of work Manages staff performance to ensure adherence to timelines and objectives while addressing any performance gaps through correcting actions and timely feedback to ensure a cohesive operational unit and the optimum use of team skills.  Accountable to (Integrated) Project Delivery Team for timely data and information regarding the status of all aspects of the project’s quality assurance including recommendations for resolving any non-compliance. Responsible for the CPG Quality Management System including project specific plans, processes and procedures and guides as extensions to and consistent with the CPG Quality Management System including the continual improvement cycle and drawing on previous experience and industry practice. Leads for the assigned Project Delivery Team a comprehensive quality audit program for the project including internal and external audits based on the project risk criteria, conducting and/or participating in audits, and attending contractor internal audits. Responsible for the Project Quality Management Plan detailing the applicable processes from the CPG Quality Management System to met the objectives of the project as consistent with CPG strategy and objectives and in alignment with the (Integrated) Project Delivery Team and Manager, CPG Program Quality Assurance. Responsible to draft the assign project’s Project Quality Assurance Plan for approval by Project Leadership drawing on the available processes in the QMS as applicable to the objectives and lifecycle position of the project. Responsible for the identification, development, analysis, amalgamation of trends, distilling insights and reporting of quality metrics and managing agreed key performance indicators for the project including quality management system performance, of the assigned project. Responsible for training (Integrated) Project Delivery Team of the assigned project on the Project Quality Assurance Plan, CPG Quality Management System, Non Conformance and Continual Improvement by way of, but not limited to, workshops, courses, online education and orientation (onboarding) of (Integrated) Project Delivery Team members.  Responsible for review of 2nd Party contracted quality submissions, analyses, distils, providing insights, highlighting gaps, and providing initial findings and recommendations to owner for revisions or approval/rejection decisions. Supports the development and application of audit on the (Integrated) Project Delivery Team and 2nd Parties (direct contracted parties) with respect to compliance with CPG Quality Management System and contracted obligations alongside (Integrated) Project Delivery Team and Manager, CPG Quality Audit. Supports the implementation and integration of continual improvement initiatives as identified by continuous improvement processes to create efficient and streamlined processes. Develops and implements effective quality assurance strategies and tactics supported by data driven analysis and observed, rationalized industry practices in alignment with (Integrated) Project Delivery Team and Manager, CPG Program Quality Assurance What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need? Demonstrable exceptional technical skill in quality assurance including the creation and delivery of detailed Project Quality Assurance Plan Highly skilled in quality assurance theory, principles and practice Comprehensive understanding of broader project management theory, principles and practice Strong leadership skills to motivate a team, set high standards and clear expectations, manage expectations and outputs Highly articulate with practiced presentation and facilitation skills Excellent people skills and ability to communicate / interface effectively across the organization and external stakeholders Exceptional attention to detail with excellent verbal, written, presentation and communication skills and confident leading meetings of diverse and potentially numerous members Demonstrable experience of successfully managing competing objectives of external and internal stakeholders and recognizing materiality Highly skilled at addressing and engaging leaders across the project and organization Don’t Meet Every Requirement?  If you’re excited about working with Metrolinx but your past experience doesn’t quite align with every qualification of this posting, we encourage you to apply.
