You’ll be part of one the oldest and most established steel suppliers in the UK, supporting and assisting their growth within the industry, building long-term and lasting relationships with both new and existing clients. There are clear routes to progression, both professionally and personally all whilst developing your own brand within the industry. The Role
You will drive a strategic approach to identifying and capitalising on new and existing business opportunities, whilst managing existing accounts. One of the main focus areas is to increase spend frequency and portfolio worth, whilst adding value to all stakeholders. With people management being a key area, you will conduct regular meetings, drive motivation and champion best practice for your team.
Furthermore:
  • Drive efficiency and control costs while continuously seeking ways to streamline processes
  • Conduct client visits to support your clients' growth
  • Handle a multitude of enquiries about products and services
  • Produce thorough quotations with detailed insights into products
  • Oversee and follow up on orders
 
The Ideal Candidate
You must be well versed within sales and ideally within a fast-paced office environment. At this stage in your career, you will be well adept in delivering exceptional customer service and have a strategic mindset when it comes to the sales process or overall client spend. It goes without saying that you’ll have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, along with:
  • The ability to engage with stakeholders effectively
  • Drive your team forward with a focus on; output, achieving budgets and personal growth
  • Excellent organisational skills, with great attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Being commercially astute
