This role would ideally be home-based in the Ottawa region and report to the Ontario Regional Sales Manager.Do not miss the opportunity to join a broad family of people-centric professionals, leaders with vision, and rapid problem solvers!Job SummaryThe successful candidate will drive sales activities for IPEX Electrical products across Eastern Ontario. Your primary focus will be nurturing and expanding existing business through regular interactions with wholesalers, contractors, engineering, and end-user customers.You’ll play a key role in promoting IPEX Electrical products, ensuring sustained growth, and enhancing IPEX’s market leadership. Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with distributors, gathering market intelligence, establishing a strong presence with major end-users, and fostering engineering relationships will be crucial to your success.Principal ResponsibilitiesNegotiate electrical opportunities to grow new and existing Markets/ProductsPresent and conduct Lunch and learns with Contractors, Distributors, Utilities, and SpecifierAttend and participate in regional conferences, display at trade shows, and distributor branch events to promote IPEX and its productsPromote and follow-up on activities within assigned territory aimed at continuous sales opportunities and ensuring continued positive relationships with customersTrack opportunities on projects and new products in CRMPerform various administrative duties such as reports; maintain customer Backlog, catalogues, Price Lists, literature review, and product presentation preparationRespond to product and service complaint reports within 24 hours of notificationParticipate in Cross-Functional TeamsQualifications & Experience2+ years of successful experience in direct sales and marketing activities within the construction or industrial industriesProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook as well as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systemsA strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of value-sellingCompletion of a university degree, college diploma or CET designation an assetExcellent communication and presentation skillsThe ability to work autonomously and as a phenomenal teammate with strong self-motivationSome overnight travel is requiredIPEX is committed to providing accommodations for people with disabilities throughout the recruitment process and, upon request, will work with qualified job applicants to provide suitable accommodation in a manner that takes into account the applicant’s accessibility needs due to disability.About UsAt IPEX, our vision is to be the leading supplier of thermoplastic piping systems in North America.
