Job Requirements / Description
Eleven are delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing CleanTech start-up, whose mission is to accelerate the transition to Net-Zero by developing a circular manufacturing process, with a principal focus to decarbonise the textiles industry, which is responsible for 4% of global emissions. Their innovative manufacturing process consumes CO2 emitted by hard-to-abate industries as feedstock to manufacture virgin synthetic fabrics, essentially enabling them to produce sustainable fabrics from thin air! Having secured significant investment from leading European Venture Capitalists, the company is now expanding their European footprint by building their first manufacturing pilot line, as part of a European Union funded project. To support scale-up efforts, they are now looking for a Junior Chemical Engineer in their industrialization team. This position will effectively translate the outcomes of catalytic chemistry research from the R&D team into plant manufacturing specifications and requirements at all relevant phases. You Will Play a major role in the scale-up of technology from the lab to the pilot and the plant scales including batch and continuous processes under the supervision of a chemical engineer. Carry out process simulation studies on dedicated software (e.g. ASPEN) for plant optimization and energy efficiency. Perform mass balance and heat balance calculations as well as mass transfer studies. Perform design and sizing calculations of process equipment as well as evaluating PFDs / P&IDs in partnership with an engineering company. About You MSc or PhD in chemical engineering. 1-2 years in industrial environment / engineering company. Expertise in process simulation (Aspen HYSYS, Aspen plus, ProII...) is required. Ability to work with autonomy and with a proactive mindset. Highly motivated and a team player! What You Can Expect An opportunity to develop ground-breaking technology, with the potential to lead the way for decarbonising industry. Working with likeminded, innovative individuals in a collaborative, dynamic start-up environment. Competitive salary and package. #J-18808-Ljbffr
