Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at Ribbons & Reeves Limited.
About the Role:
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to provide individualized support to children with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). Your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters the social, emotional, and academic growth of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with complex needs in a variety of settings, including classrooms and therapy sessions
- Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate with teaching staff to design and deliver engaging and accessible lesson plans
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting their independence and self-confidence
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting our students
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A caring and patient nature, with a commitment to supporting children with diverse and complex needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Experience working with children with PMLD or similar disabilities, or a willingness to learn and develop your skills in this area
