Quantity Surveyor

Assisting with the take off and pricing of tender packages when necessary * Accurate and timely completion of monthly applications * Verify client payments against applications and provide debtors position to the Head of Commercial, taking action to reduce outstanding accounts * Management of sub-contract packages including management/payments of labour and plant gangs on site * Accurate pricing, negotiating and agreeing contractual variations with the client * Management of several schemes at any one time * Attend site meetings and work closely with project team * Expected to manage and provide development and support to other Commercial team members Skills / Qualifications * QS degree or relevant Cost/Commercial discipline * 5+ years’ experience in a similar role for major house builders * Effective communication skills * Proficient IT Skills, with a strong working knowledge of Excel and Bluebeam * Sound commercial acumen including managing a large volume of work to tight client driven deadlines * Ability to work under pressure, take the initiative and accept accountability * Strong negotiation skills * Experience of pricing tenders / contract variations * Driving License
