ColchesterUnitedCommunityFoundationseeksahighlymotivatedCommunityYouthWorkertodelivermentoringsessionsandsupporthealthandinclusionprogramsfor9,000childrenandyoungpeopleacrossNorthEssex.Therolerequiresstrongcommunicationskills,acommitmenttosafeguarding,andexperienceinyouthworkorasimilarfield.Thesuccessfulcandidatewillhavethepowertoinspireandmotivatepeople,workingcloselywithschools,communityorganizations,andexternalpartnerstoachievepositiveimpact.Keyresponsibilitiesincludedevelopingmentoringresources,deliveringhigh-qualitysessions,supportingprogramdevelopment,andcollaboratingwithpartnerstoensureaunifiedapproach.TheroleisbasedatTheShrubEndCommunity&SportsCentreinColchesterandrequiresafullUKdrivinglicense.EssentialqualificationsincludeaYouthMentalHealthFirstAiderqualification,mentoringqualification,andexperienceinyouthworkorasimilarrole.DesirablequalificationsincludearelevantNGBcoachingqualificationandexperienceworkingwithyoungpeopleinareasofhighdeprivation.Theroleoffersarangeofbenefits,including20daysannualleave,performanceincentives,accesstoapoolvehicle,andopportunitiestoworkColchesterUnitedhomegames.ThejobwillbesubjecttosatisfactoryreferencesandenhancedDBSchecks.TheclosingdateforapplicationsisFriday25thOctober2024,althoughtherolemayclosesoonerifasuitablecandidateisfound.ApplicationsshouldbesubmittedbyemailtoF.A.O.EdKing.
