Group Financial Controller
Salary – Competitive dependent on experience
Contract type – Full Time (35 hrs per week), Permanent.
Location – Newark, NG24 1BS (with some remote/hybrid working)

FCN are part of the Fiducia Group which is established in financial services with over 20 years’ experience, and we are looking for a Group Financial Controller to join our team within an ever-growing industry.
What will you be doing?
As a Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
- Preparation of individual entities monthly management accounts in accordance with deadlines
- Processing of monthly journals for all entities.
- Collation of accounting information into daily/weekly/monthly group reporting packs
- Working with the management team and finance team
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and profit loss.
- Manage payroll function for all entities
- VAT compliance for all entities
- Year-end audit and full back up reconciling schedules
- Management and review of overhead expenses
- Automation of manual processes where possible
- Ad hoc projects as required
You will use your fantastic verbal and written communication skills to build rapport using your exceptional attention to detail, you also need to be able to see a job through to completion whilst juggling a varied workload.
You will work within a team environment and take responsibility for achieving company goals in your role.
What skills do you need to have?
Other qualities we’re looking for:
- Qualified to ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent.
- At least 2 years qualified experience working at Group Financial Controller level.
- Proven experience as a Group Financial Controller or similar role, preferably within the financial or professional services industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience working as a Group financial controller, specifically tailored to supporting a growing business, and working across a multi entity group.
