GDM is an award-winning Architecture and Engineering firm with locations in Oregon, Washington, New Mexico, Arizona, Hawaii and Alaska. We are actively looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team. This self-motivated individual will work with all levels of management and staff to perform challenging structural and construction administration projects. Ideal candidates will have experience with a wide variety of structural project types to include; vertical construction, lateral force resisting systems, concrete footings, and concrete and unreinforced masonry structures.Daily Duties/TasksApply structural engineering principals and practices to assignments in related fieldsWork with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver designsCoordinate with clients and peersReview all work for completeness and accuracyExchange and archive milestone submittalsCreate project record drawingsPrimary ResponsibilitiesPerform preliminary and detailed analysis for the design of civil projectsPrepare studies, design reports, engineering plans, and construction specificationsEvaluate alternative approaches and address technical inquiriesResolve complex BIM based issues that may arise in designProvide engineering support for construction projects on an as-needed basisOrganize, draft and coordinate production of reports for technical consistencyStay informed of evolving standards and software innovationsExperienceB.S. in Civil Engineering (Preference given to advanced degrees)5 to 10 yrs of experience working on structural engineering projectsExisting professional registration or ability to obtain within 3-6 monthsProficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering design softwareAbility to exercise judgement and discretionAbility to set priorities and manage competing demandsDemonstrate a reliable, responsive and positive work ethicAbility to deliver ongoing education and support to Revit project teamsAbility to meet critical deadlinesPossess a strong work ethic and conduct operations with integrityPunctuality and occasional travelHealth, Vision, and Dental insurancePaid time off – 6 weeks per yearRetirement 401k – 3% contribution by employerBonus pay up to $17,500 per yearApplication ProcessPlease send resume and cover letter to Adam Goddin, CEO at [email protected] #J-18808-Ljbffr
