Together with governments, policy makers and citizens, we work on establishing evidence-based international standards, and finding solutions to a range of social, economic and environmental challenges.EDU is looking for a Junior Analyst to work in the EDU Director’s Front Office under the supervision of the Senior Counsellor and in support of the Director and Deputy Director. The selected candidate will co-ordinate inputs from across the Directorate for a broad range of requests from the Front Office and EDU Management group, and will actively work to support cross-directorate collaboration.Main ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the planning and delivery of biannual Education Policy Committee (EDPC) meetings and the annual Chair’s Retreat.Participate actively in on-going processes to improve horizontal work and co-ordination within the Directorate.Actively undertake initiatives that support cross-directorate collaboration and knowledge sharing.Support the delivery of the EDU-SKC Ideas Incubator.Work closely with the Senior Counsellor and Directorate Support Unit (DSU) to support the directorate’s engagement with funding partners.Assist in the preparation of the missions and visits undertaken by the EDU Front Office.Support the Senior Counsellor to plan and deliver meetings and activities under the responsibility of the Front Office.Ideal Candidate ProfileAcademic BackgroundAn advanced university degree in economics, social, public policy or political sciences, international relations, education, or a related field.Professional BackgroundA minimum of two years of relevant experience in an international organisation, a national administration, university, research center or consultancy in EDU’s area of work.Demonstrated analytical skills, as well as the ability to organise and summarise complex material.SkillsExcellent drafting and oral communication skills.Proficiency in composing basic written documents, reports, and policy briefs.Excellent coordination and organisational skills.Basic skills in stakeholder management.Familiarity with basic fundraising concepts and techniques would be an asset.ToolsProficiency in the use of standard Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) is essential.Core CompetenciesOECD staff are expected to demonstrate behaviours aligned to six core competencies which will be assessed as part of this hiring process.LanguagesFluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of the other.Closing DateThis vacancy will be filled as soon as possible, and applications should reach us no later than 23h59 27 October 2024 (Paris time).Contract DurationOne year fixed term appointment, with the possibility of renewal.Depending on level of experience, monthly salary starts at either 5,044.88 EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility.The OECD is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes the applications of all qualified candidates who are nationals of OECD member countries. #J-18808-Ljbffr
