Job Advert: Supply Teaching Assistant (Reception to Year 6) Location: Islington Agency: SANZA Teaching Agency Role: Supply Teaching Assistant (Reception to Year 6) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Temporary/Short-term Supply SANZA Teaching Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supply Teaching Assistant to join a diverse and welcoming primary school in Islington. This role involves providing general classroom support across Reception to Year 6, as well as offering tailored 1:1 support to students with special educational needs (SEND). Key Responsibilities: Assist teachers with the preparation and delivery of lessons across Reception to Year 6. Provide focused 1:1 support to SEND students, adapting to their individual needs and learning styles. Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, inclusive learning environment. Support students with literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum areas as directed by the class teacher. Work closely with the SENDCo to implement individual learning plans (IEPs). Foster a safe, encouraging atmosphere for all students, including those with additional needs.Requirements: Previous experience working with primary-aged children (Reception to Year 6). Experience supporting children with SEND in either 1:1 or group settings. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children reach their full potential.
