Maintenance Head

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all maintenance activities within the office, shop, and warehouse are executed effectively and efficiently.
• Respond to maintenance calls promptly, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform weekly and daily checks on facilities for cleaning and maintenance, including drains, filters, fire extinguishers, and electrical systems.
• Conduct mechanical repairs and troubleshooting as needed.
• Implement preventive maintenance measures for machinery, equipment, and small tools.
• Maintain records of all maintenance and service activities, including manuals, electrical documents, and maintenance reports.
• Monitor electrical rooms and fire alarm systems for proper functioning, identifying and logging any issues.
• Manage spare parts inventory, including filling orders and negotiating prices with suppliers.
• Oversee subcontractor activities and ensure adherence to company standards.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and procedures, participating in the Health and Safety committee.
• Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment, performing repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with machinery and equipment, fabricating or modifying parts as necessary.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of contractors or other maintenance personnel when required.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure adherence to all company principles and policies.

Requirements:

• Electrical licence is an asset.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
• Experience with industrial maintenance practices and procedures.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively.

Salary: $29.00-$35.00 per year
