Music Teacher * Tower Hamlets * Secondary - KS3-KS5 We are seeking a Teacher of Music to join a school in Tower Hamlets from September 2024. This is a fantastic chance to contribute to the growth and development of students' musical abilities, within a well-established and supportive music department. If you have a strong knowledge of KS3 - KS5 Music curriculum, live within a commutable distance of Tower Hamlets, and have a commitment to nurturing creativity and enthusiasm for music, we would love to hear from you. Your responsibilities: · Planning and delivering engaging and dynamic lessons that align with the KS3 - KS5 Music Curriculum · Developing and implementing schemes of work and lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and abilities of the students. · Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies for improvement. · Organising and leading extracurricular activities, such as school concerts, choirs, and instrumental ensembles. · Collaborating with other members of the music department to develop and enhance the music curriculum and resources. · Building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff, and maintaining effective communication channels. Requirements: · Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Music or a related subject. · Proven experience teaching Music at KS3 - KS5 levels, with a track record of achieving excellent results. · Strong subject knowledge across a range of musical styles, genres, and traditions. · Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that enables all students to thrive. · Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
