Quality Engineer

An exciting Quality Engineer position has become available in Failsworth at an engineering company. Job Title: Quality Engineer Shift: 5 days a week Mon-Fri with offer of flexible start and finish times and 1 day a week WFH once passed 3 month probation. Rate: £30,000 - £40,000 p/a The Job: * Act as the deputy to the Quality Manager in their absence. * Maintain and plan the internal and external audit plan. * Oversee equipment Calibration requirements. * Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) when required. * Assist in the creation and closure of Non Conformances. * Compile customer satisfaction data * Prepare the Quality Monthly reporting Pack. * Oversee the use of SYSPRO within the Quality Team. * Assist in bids and review quality requirements. * Visit Customer sites to support business requirements. * Audit new suppliers. * Implement and maintain detailed Quality Assurance Documents. * Respond to customer complaints in a timely and efficient manner and maintain records. * Manage & maintain proprietary systems data within the company computer systems. * Maintain the MRB (Material Review Board) System. * Develop inspection capability to deliver cost effective verification methods. * Adopt a proactive approach regarding reductions in the cost of quality. * Introduce new procedures or processes that enhance competitiveness. The ideal candidate: * Excellent communication skills * Excellent organisational skills * Comfortable giving presentations at all levels * Willingness to travel * Experience in solving problems and driving improvements * Experience with ISO 9001 * Understanding of GD&T and its applications * Use of modern measuring equipment and determining best and most effective use * Experience of working in Imperial * Experience in FAIR processes to AS9102 * Understanding of CE marking requirements * Familiar with the use of Microsoft Office Packages i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. What Next?
