Finance Technician

Job Title: Finance Technician Location: Lincolnshire Salary: 13.02/hour Contract: Temporary, 29/07/24 to 24/01/25 Hours: 08:00 to 16:30, Full Time Role Overview: Harper Recruitment is looking for a Finance Technician to join a local authority to work within Financial Services on a temporary contract. The role will involve providing financial support and will require answering queries. Main duties of role: Working as part of a team within Financial Services to receive communications from internal and external customers Provide financial support and advice for specific areas of Bank Reconciliation and VAT functions Providing financial information to team members to support the statutory requirement regarding annual closure of accounts Providing information to assist Freedom of Information requests in a timely manner Attending and contributing to monthly meetingsRequired knowledge and skills: Excellent customer service and communication Ability to work to deadlines Attention to detail Strong I.T skills Desirable to understand financial procedures including Bank reconciliation, Financial Statements and Auditing Procedures or experience working at a junior level within an Accountancy or Finance Team Additional Information: Please note that this role is a mixture of both customer service and finance. The role is hybrid, and will require reliable attendance to the office when needed
