The vacancy Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Cleaner (Premises Assistant) on a permanent basis at Sundial Day Care Centre. The Sundial Day Care provides care for people from all backgrounds and cultures. Whether they are looking for regular or short-term respite, we provide care, support, and stimulation for older people in social isolation, including those with mild to moderate dementia. Essentially, we provide quality day care services for older people in the local community. We tailor our service to meet individual needs that aim to. * maintain and promote independence. * encourage social interaction. * restore self-esteem. * create a lively and friendly atmosphere where everyone is made to feel welcome. * provide a stimulating environment with a variety of activities. As our new Cleaner, you will contribute to the smooth running of our centre and make a difference to the community we support! What we’re looking for: * Do you have experience or knowledge of COSHH and other relevant Health and Safety regulations? * Have you worked within a similar role where knowledge of Health and Safety legislation was essential, such as cleaner or porter? * Are you able to communicate sensitively understand the needs, issues and aspirations of older adults (50 years plus) from diverse backgrounds? * Are you able to prioritise and work on one's own initiative with minimum supervision? If so, this role is perfect for you! A bit about the role: You will maintain a high standard of cleaning throughout the centre as well as provide support in room set up / set downs and assist with the daily operations including reception cover. Some of the key results for the role include: * Follow the cleaning schedule and undertake these day-to-day responsibilities as well as any periodic cleaning requirements. * Carry out health and safety checks. * Ensure the safe use of specialised cleaning equipment and where necessary ensure protective clothing is used.
