Group Risk & Assurance Manager

Elevation Senior Finance are thrilled to be working in partnership with a specialist manufacturing business based in East Yorkshire as they look to recruit a Group Risk and Assurance Manager into their team, initially on a 1–2-year fixed term contract, to complete a transformation project. This is a hybrid working position that allows for flexibility to work remotely. The successful candidate must have the availability to travel 30-50% of their time, dependent on department, team, and project activities. Offering a competitive salary and benefits package, including: Defined benefit pension scheme with death in service benefit Pro-rata 25 days paid holiday allowance (plus bank holidays) Free on-site restaurant Private Medical Senior Staff Bonus (after 6 months) Access to share plan In this role, the Group Risk and Assurance Manager will be responsible for the following: Working with external consultants and other process workstreams to strengthen the control framework Ensuring that controls are considered from the design phase of the processes in S4/Hana Maintain close contact with the other Risk and Assurance Managers and follow their lead Keep a gap log between the current and new risk and controls matrices (RACM) Guide change management processes related to control assurance Effective communication ensuring alignment and coordination across the project into BAU Contribute to overall risk management of the project Owning the project risk framework, ensuring risk mitigation strategies are in place and providing assurance to stakeholders are key aspects of the role Ad-hoc activities to support the Risk and Assurance team  Key Skills & Requirements needed for this position: You will be a strong influencer, being able to work with and influence all levels of the business You will have the ability to convey technical issues to a non-technical audience, thinking outside the box Internal controls experience, including IT GCC, AEC and financial controls Excellent project & programme management experience in delivering global projects Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and planning skills Educated to post graduate level in either finance, internal audit, or risk discipline Experience performing similar role in large IT projects, preferably S4/Hana, desirable If you meet the above requirements and would like to hear more about this position, please apply or get in touch today
