About the job

Our Sales Engineer is the go-to technical expert on the sales and account management team. Reporting to our VP of Sales, our Sales Engineer maintains extensive knowledge of ContactMonkey’s products' parts, functions, and processes in order to partner in solution selling, executing strategic deals and supporting close sales.

Our Sales Engineer is curious, hardworking, and highly driven to achieve outstanding results. Your expertise in selling tech solutions and your ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders will be instrumental in achieving our sales targets. In working cross functionally, you will be instrumental in supporting technical onboarding and support needs alongside closing new deals.

In thinking like an owner, you will gain actionable insights from your customers' pain points that can help the future of our product roadmap and the way we position our solution. Your superpower is being an expert problem solver and when faced with a customer challenge you won’t say “no”, you’ll say “how?” You are always thinking of game-changing ways to educate and manage relationships with your technical stakeholders.

Your impact

  • Focused on partnering with Account Executives to secure net new business and get customers onboarded to the proposed product
  • Continuing to support the customer journey by working with the Customer Success team on technical onboarding to ensure seamless transition to ContactMonkey’s solution
  • Support in planning, preparing and executing on strategic deals in complex sales cycles
  • Creatively approach educating and building relationships with technical stakeholders in
  • Successfully match customer pain/requirements to proposed solutions
  • Help to create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition
  • Working cross functionally with our Sales, Technical Support and Customer Success teams
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses
  • Effectively communicate client needs to the R&D and Product teams for future product enhancements
  • Ensures a smooth handover of the project to the Customer Success team
  • Improve the efficiency of our sales cycle by contributing to process improvements & creating related documentation for technical stakeholders

About you

  • Approximately 5 years of professional workforce experience
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience either a Technical Account Executive, Sales Engineer or Technical Support individual
  • Comfortable working within the enterprise IT space and knowledgeable within Enterprise Email including technologies such as Google Workspace, Microsoft ActiveDirectory, DNS, email security
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives and decision makers
  • Ability to collaborate seamlessly with other parties of the sale, including SDR, AE and Sales Management
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • A strong track record and a genuine passion for selling technology solutions
  • Has experience creating or contributing to the development of a formal handover/implementation process internally

  • Experience in solution selling
  • Experience selling SaaS
  • Experience in a startup, scale up,hypergrowth, or highly changing environment
  • A technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Experience with integrating systems into Office 365, Azure, GSuite
  • Experience from a email/communications technology organization
