Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in the Energy industry. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the general ledger accounting system and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Perform owner relations task
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare journal entries
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• File monthly reports with government agencies (tax, production, etc.)
• Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely billing and invoicing
• Coding and inputting AP & Non-op invoices
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 2+ years of experience in GL accounting and account reconciliation
• Experience in the Energy oil and gas industry preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
