We are seeking an Engineering Quality Specialist II to join our team in Oakville, ON.Here are some of the great benefits that we offer:Company paid health and dental benefits.Paid vacation.Defined Contribution Pension Plan with company match.Opportunity for career stability and growth.Protective personal equipment is provided, or cost of purchase is reimbursed.Affinity group for women.Flexibility with start and end times (depending on circumstances and position).On the job training.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100D, ISO17025 & NADCAP).Create, maintain, and update quality control documentation, including inspection reports, FAI reports as per AS9102, quality plans, and non-conformance reports.Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, driving continuous improvement initiatives.Lead investigations into quality issues, utilizing root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying problems and implement corrective actions.Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes, materials, and finished products to identify any non-conformances.Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure product specifications are met and to provide guidance on quality-related matters.Use a wide range of inspection equipment including (but not limited to): Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Verniers, Coordinate Measuring Machines, and 3D Scanners.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years related work experience, ideally in a custom machining and quality environment.In-depth knowledge of ISO9001:2015, AS9100D, and related audit processes.Knowledge of ISO17025 and NADCAP is preferred.Experience in quality assurance or quality engineering within the aerospace industry.Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).Certification as a Quality Engineer (e.g., CQE) is a plus.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.At Samuel, we believe in a culture of equality.
