Design Manager Position Overview

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to manage close-knit design teams in our Thetford and Hertford facilities. As a key member of our design and manufacturing team, you will be responsible for leading the design process and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage design teams to deliver high-quality designs and products on time and within budget.
• Develop and implement design strategies to improve product quality, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and sales, to ensure seamless product development and delivery.
• Manage design data and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in design management, preferably in the sheet metal fabrication industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide design teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
• Strong understanding of design software, including CAD and CAM systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
