Job Specification: CNC Programmer for Joinery Job Title: CNC Programmer - Joinery Location: Leicestershire Job Type: Full-Time Rate: Circa £18.00 Per Hour Reports To: Production Manager About: Our Leicester based clients are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer with a strong background in joinery to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, optimising, and managing CNC programs for woodworking machinery used in the production of joinery products such as cabinets, furniture, and custom woodworking projects. Key Responsibilities: * Develop, write, and modify CNC programs for various woodworking machinery (e.g., CNC routers, laser cutters). * Utilize AlphaCAM software to create and adjust technical drawings and models for joinery projects. * Select appropriate tooling and set up machining operations based on material specifications and production requirements. * Collaborate with design teams to ensure that CNC programs align with project targets and specifications. * Perform regular maintenance and calibration of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity. * Conduct quality inspections of produced joinery components, ensuring they meet company standards and specifications. * Troubleshoot issues related to CNC programming and equipment during the production process. * Maintain accurate records of production, tooling, and maintenance tasks. * Stay updated on latest CNC technologies and best practices to continuously improve programming and manufacturing processes. Skills & Experience: * Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC programmer, specifically in the woodworking or joinery industry. * Proficiency in CNC programming languages * Strong understanding of woodworking materials and joinery techniques. * Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings. * Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. * Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other departments. Physical Requirements: * Ability to lift materials and equipment as needed. * Comfortable working in a production environment with exposure to machinery and tools.
