Communications Specialist / Writer for Data Engineering Project

PrecisionERP is seeking a Communications Specialist/ Writer that has worked in a Data environment with a Data Engineering team that can write content regarding that area. Th need is for an experienced communications content developer / writer services with experience in Data and Analytics (D&A) domain to support the implementation of the change plans and create the content.Contract duration: June 2024 to December 2024 (with possible extensions) A valid Canadian Federal Security clearance is required for this workMain details: The candidate will need to work with Data Engineers and Data Analysts to develop the process map(s). They need to have experience facilitating these meetings to get the information from the Data Engineers. They will need to work with the Data Engineers to develop the new process, they need to be driving the discussion. The existing process needs to be documented/updated, and the client will need to factor in the new process with the changed environment.This individual will not be expected to develop Data Engineering pipelines, however they will need to understand enough of the Data Engineering development process/ technology/ environment to communicate effectively with the DE’s to develop process flows. Experience working in the technical data engineering/software engineering space will be an advantage. The expected outcome from this individual will be in technical wiki page documentation. Cleaning up, organizing, restructuring the existing technical wiki pages. Setting documentation standards for technical wiki pages.Primary Responsibilities: Collaborate with the PO's and Data Engineering Chapter members to Create and UpdateData engineering development and support Process Maps/workflows.Standard Operating Procedures for Data Platform Support including the Runbook, Backup and Recovery Procedures, Disaster Recovery.Process/technical documentation like wiki pages, knowledge articles and self-service guides for the Data Engineering practice.Facilitate, Present and ReviewAny of the above mentioned artifacts.Process workflow modeling in order to make process improvements, automation opportunities, accountability changes in the organization.Work with the Chapter Leads, COE Leads and Product Owners to review change plans and their required content and support requirementsMonitor, support and report on progress of change plan activitiesAs part of the change plan execution activities, work with stakeholders at all levels to create communications content and participate in reviews of the content.Create various types of content such as: email, presentation materials, articles, job aids.Required Skills:Excellent written and verbal communications skills, Presentation and facilitation experience with diverse group of technical Engineers.Experience with developing Process flows/ Support Documentation in Software/Data engineering domainExpertise in using Azure Wiki pages, Tools like Visio to document Process Diagrams.Other Skills:Strong interpersonal skillsStrong working knowledge of MS suite of products, including creating and organizing MS Teams ChannelsBilingualism (English/French, spoken and written) is a strong asset.Assets:Technical Writing certification/diploma and/or university degree in a related field, such as Journalism, Communications or EnglishMinimum 5 years' experience writing communications content in a data & analytics or IT environmentExperience in Process redesign in a technical development/support team.Experience in implementing available change management plans, tactics supporting delivery teams in their daily comms requirements to stakeholders.
