Mechanical Design Engineer

Foster + Partners Senior - Associate level Mechanical Design Engineers Battersea, South West London Due to the securing of new projects, Foster + Partners the award winning integrated design practice, have exciting opportunities for Senior - Associate level, Building Services Mechanical Design Engineers to be part of our dynamic environmental engineering team in London. You will be required to work autonomously or with a team to develop the successful projects through clear strategy and proactive commitment nationally and internationally. Previous experience in a senior position is essential. Skills & experience required: * Qualified as a Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership * Previous experience in a similar position * Previous team, and project management experience (senior level) * Solid technical understanding of own core engineering discipline and the role of the mechanical engineer within the design team * Broad understanding of other engineering disciplines engaged in the design of the built environment * Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and industry standard design reference material * Ability to use initiative in response to demands of project * Able to negotiate and communicate well in graphical, written or verbal forms including ability to listen and to understand others * Ability to understand and formulate design decisions * A flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and a proven commitment to independent, lifelong learning * Self-organized and motivated This role will be based in our Battersea office and the hours are - Monday to Friday, 09:00am - 18:00pm.
