Financial Accountant

Marc Daniels are working with a long-standing client very well established in their field going through an exciting period of change in their recruitment for a Financial Accountant based in Reading. This role is 2 days a week in the office and the employer is very flexible. This role would suit someone newly qualified from practice with a strong affinity for reporting who is looking to take ownership of their work. Responsibilities: Ensuring proper accounting in compliance with legal and internal guidelines to ensure correct monthly, quarterly and annual submissions in accordance with US GAAP and local accounting requirements Will be responsible for providing insight, analysis, and commentary on balance sheet performance, aiming to influence and drive decisions that improve the balance sheet position. Responsible for the timely preparation of month end accounts for UK and Ireland. Build a strong understanding of finance systems and international accounting standards Liaise directly with auditors to respond to audit queries in a timely and accurate manner. Preparation of the USGaap balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Provide commentary on variances verses prior year, investigate discrepancies and rectify in timely manner Continuous Improvement, actively reviewing internal processes with a view to continually improving them, identifying areas for optimisation Supporting the accounting manager with monthly and adhoc tasks as requireRequirements: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant Bachelor's or equivalentBy applying you will be registered as a candidate with Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment Limited.
