We are proud to be the steward of Canadian CANDU nuclear technology.Location - Mississauga, ON.Your role within the team:Provide design solutions and assessments for new, updated and modified process systems, structures and components.Perform thermal hydraulic evaluations on complex systems.Prepare and/or review design documents for Nuclear Power Plants, e.g., Design Calculation, Design Requirements, Assessments, Technical Specifications, Drawings, Bill of Materials, and System Code Classification.Prepare and/or review Engineering Quotation Request and Tender Technical Evaluations.Perform walkdowns, attend site visits and meetings as required.Ensure applicable code, standards and regulatory requirements are met.Provide support for the preparation of Engineering proposals.Ensure adherence to company quality program.Ensure adherence to project delivery requirements and schedule.Support Engineering Management with timely updates on engineering progress.Interface with internal and external stakeholders as required.Why choose AtkinsRéalis as an employer?Because we offer:The opportunity to work on various major projects for internal and external clients.An exciting environment where work-life balance is important.A wide array of learning and development opportunities.Competitive pay, flexible benefits, an employee share plan, and a defined contribution pension plan.A work environment focused on health and safety.The ideal candidate:Engineering degree from an accredited University in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or Engineering Science.Must have excellent communication and technical writing skills.Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.Experience in process system design and layout is an asset.Knowledge of analytical tools used for mechanical and process design (e.g. ANSYS, Mathcad, Flomaster, NUCIRC, CATHENA or similar) is an asset.Site experience in construction, or commissioning of plant mechanical systems for nuclear or other heavy industries is an asset.Experience performing work to nuclear power plants procedures and practices and qualifications for nuclear power plants engineering activities is an asset.Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).Are you up for this challenge?
