Property Acquisition Specialist

At Lidl, we're looking for a talented Acquisition team member to join our dynamic Property department in Doncaster. As an Acquisitions Consultant, you will be responsible for the expansion and management of our current portfolio, developing relationships with key third parties, and driving the full development and planning process from concept to completion.

Key responsibilities:

• Identifying, negotiating, and acquiring freehold and leasehold deals to build new stores
• Undertaking site inspections, development appraisals, and managing site, legal, and planning due diligence on all opportunities
• Managing planning applications from original submission through to consent and discharge of conditions
• Assisting all expansion, relocation, and improvement projects to our current infrastructure
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers
• Driving the full development and planning process from initial concept to final completion
• Real estate management of our freehold and leasehold assets

Requirements:

• Degree-level educated or comparable qualification (2:2 minimum) ideally in a relevant discipline
• MRICS qualification or working towards it, preferably with experience in acquisitions and planning
• Experience working in retail acquisitions is preferable
• Strong negotiating skills
• Sound commercial acumen
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A highly analytical mind
• The ability to multi-task and handle conflicting deadlines
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• A full driving licence and the flexibility to travel throughout the UK
