What we are looking for: Working out of the Markham Site, you will provide coverage to both the Markham and Uxbridge Sites. You will interact with clerical staff, professional practice, clinical staff, information technology, quality improvement, decision support and health information management; ensuring that information is available to, and appropriately used by, clinicians, managers and directors to enhance clinical care and patient health outcomes. In collaboration with the Information Technology and Professional Practice teams, you will actively participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of informatics projects of Meditech Expanse to improve processes and outcomes. Work Schedule: Business Hours, with occasional off-shift requirements. Please note schedules may change due to operational needs. Compensation: BAND G Range: $47.86 - $58.77 Responsibilities Implementing and evaluating systems for administrative and clinical staff. Ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Collaboratively liaises with clerical staff, clinical staff, physicians, management, IT professionals, Finance, Decision Support, and Health Information Management staff. Identifies opportunities for process improvement and collaborates with others to enhance orientation and training related to scheduling patients for different clinics and registering for hospital visits and data collection. Provides guidance and support to users of electronic systems to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the systems. Participates in the identification and development of the content of training programs and materials to support information technology solutions. Identifies opportunities to integrate data utilization into quality improvement and practice change initiatives and supports data utilization by managers and directors. Requirements University degree in either Healthcare Science, Computer science or related discipline. 2 years recent application consultant experience preferred. Working knowledge of Community Wide Scheduling, Health Information Management, Registration Meditech modules and Web Ambulatory modules. Proven proficient computer skills and working experience with computerized patient care systems, ideally experience with MEDITECH Expanse, GoAutomate and Savience with patient scheduling and health information management. Excellent communication, leadership, project management and change management skills. Demonstrated analytical, consultative and critical-thinking skills in a quality-focused and team-driven environment with a working knowledge of quality improvements principles. Excellent interpersonal, team-oriented, collaborative, and facilitation skills. Demonstrates support for eHealth initiatives across the organization. Maintains membership in relevant professional organizations and up-to-date knowledge of current trends and participates in reflective practice to continually improve performance. Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards. Demonstrated a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required.
