Job Summary Job Title: Early Psychosis Intervention Program Adult Psychiatrist Work Site: Lions Gate Hospital Status: Permanent Part Time Start Date: To be mutually agreed upon Compensation Type: Combination Come work as an Early Psychosis Intervention Program Adult Psychiatrist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)! The Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) program provides comprehensive and evidence-based treatment for young adults (ages 13-30) experiencing early and first episode psychosis. EPI programming emphasizes early identification and treatment to optimize response, reduce impact, and preserve functional and social skills. The program offers services to clients on the North Shore and virtual support for rural and remote communities. Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking expressions of interest from qualified adult psychiatrists for a 0.2-0.4 FTE position at the HOpe Centre. The psychiatrist will assess, diagnose, and provide specialized treatment for clients aged 18-30 experiencing early psychosis. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential for delivering comprehensive care. The psychiatrist will work a minimum of 2-4 half-days per week in a blended billing model (Sessional and Fee-for-service). Physicians are responsible for their own billings. Qualifications Education, Licensing, & Experience: Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License – Full Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Mandatory A Medical Degree and eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. Eligibility for a clinical faculty appointment with the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Medicine is ideal. Candidates must meet credentialing requirements of Vancouver Coastal Health. Demonstrated ability working as a member of an interdisciplinary mental health team. Experience in working with individuals with early psychosis is an asset. Closing Statement Interested in applying?
