Family Lawyer

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Family Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing 25 to 35 active files and providing legal advice and support to clients. Responsibilities: Represent clients at motions, conferences, trials Represent clients in family proceedings such as divorce, child custody, property, child support, spousal support, and equalization of net family property Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients Advise clients on property, spousal support, child support, and parenting Negotiate settlements for legal disputes Comply with all legal standards and regulations Attend mediation and arbitration Provide legal advice to clients Skills: Strong research skills to gather relevant case law and statutes Excellent writing abilities for drafting legal documents and correspondence Strong negotiation skills to reach favorable settlements for clients Expertise in legal drafting for creating precise and effective legal documents Efficient communication with clients and counsel Qualifications: Previous experience of at least 2+ years in family law Experience with maintaining at least 25 active files Familiarity with various legal documents Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to build rapport with clients Excellent written and verbal communication skills Superior work ethics and attention to detail Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year Additional pay: Commission pay Schedule: Monday to Friday Education: Doctoral Degree (required) Licence/Certification: Certificate/License of Standing (required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Mississauga, ON L5B 1M5 #J-18808-Ljbffr
