CONSTRUCTION MANAGER - RESIDENTIAL (HIGHRISE) BIRMINGHAM £80k - £100k An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Construction Manager with high-rise residential experience to join a dynamic and privately owned residential developer based in Birmingham City Centre. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading multiple projects one of which will be a flagship scheme in the Midlands from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities as the Construction Manager: Lead the full life cycle of high-rise residential projects, managing schemes from design through to successful delivery. Collaborate closely with commercial and development teams to ensure smooth project delivery. Oversee project planning, design, and delivery, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget constraints. Manage and maintain the Building Control regime for higher-risk buildings, in compliance with Gateway standards and regulations. Ensure all stages of the construction process, from design to final handover, meet the required quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Develop and implement rigorous project management processes and targeted strategies to drive success. Regularly update key stakeholders on project progress, ensuring transparency and accountability. Identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.The successful Construction Manager will have the following Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Construction Manager within high-rise residential developments (preferably over 20 stories). In-depth knowledge of the Building Control regime for higher-risk buildings (Gateway process). Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
