We are currently recruiting for a Director, Enterprise Strategic Sourcing and Procurement to join our Supply Chain leadership team in Calgary, AB.Position SummaryAs a senior leader within the Supply Chain Management organization, this role will provide leadership to the Procurement organization. The successful candidate will be an effective leader, collaborator, and strategic thinker with the ability to align the business needs to supply chain strategy, focused on operational effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainable continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesThis role will be accountable for the development of an overarching Enterprise Procurement strategy including aspects of organizational design, process standardization, and implementation of procurement strategy to execute on the De Havilland Supply Chain Strategy. This role will be critical to ensure successful execution of Procurement across all De Havilland Canada’s business units from Manufacturing through to Aircraft support. The successful candidate will be adept at managing numerous stakeholders and competing interests across the supply chain and will be required to align the Procurement Organization to De Havilland Aircraft of Canada’s organizational goals.This position will require Enterprise level execution and sustainment of the following areas:Oversee all procurement processes in support of direct and indirect goods and services, maintenance support, and other procurement activities as required, and execute the strategic procurement plan.Lead the Procurement portion of De Havilland’s transformation including IT system implementation, process standardization, and organizational change.Establish a formal action-driven contract review process for consolidation, synergy, and leverage value.Establish a formal action-driven process of the Enterprise portfolio analyzed for cost/service improvement.Establish a formal cost improvement/cost mitigation program with reporting aligned with the Finance organization.Provide leadership and oversight for all make vs buy decisions.Collaborate closely with S&OP stakeholders (Enterprise material requirements planning, material management, NPI/R&D, etc.) to ensure consistent/optimal contracting and procurement execution and planning effectiveness.Establish and implement ongoing supplier KPIs for performance evaluation of the supply base.Lead, inspire, mentor, and motivate employees to drive optimal performance and maintain strong morale.Lead the implementation of best practices related to Sourcing & Procurement.Evolve the organization to optimize resource effectiveness across Procurement and Contracting in support of Enterprise wide Direct and Indirect procurement needs and standardization initiatives.Establish strong consistent linkages with the materials management and NPI teams at all levels.Develop and implement employee training, development, and mentoring programs for Strategic Sourcing & Procurement teams.Build the framework and execute programs related to succession planning, personnel training, performance management, growth, and transition for all SCM contracting and procurement roles.Business ReportingEstablish monthly/quarterly updates on all key aspects of responsibilities defined above.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceUniversity degree, graduate degree, or additional supply chain specific designation or MBA.
