Lead Academy Scout

The Lead Academy Scout plays a key role in identifying talented young players for the Academy. This part-time, seasonal role requires assessing grassroots football players to recommend potential academy registrations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Attend and assess individual players in grassroots football, adhering to the Academy Player Recruitment framework.


• Submit reports to the Head of Academy Recruitment and provide player recommendations.


• Keep up-to-date with player movements and developments within designated areas.


• Attend CPD, talent ID days, and trial matches to observe prospective players.


• Adhere to governing body scouting protocols and safeguarding best practices.


• Contribute to the improvement of the Academy's player standards across all age groups.

Requirements:

• FA Level 2 Talent ID qualification.


• FA Child Safeguarding certification.


• Full Enhanced DBS clearance.


• Awareness of safeguarding and equity and diversity issues, as well as all Academy and club policies, rules, and regulations.
