About the role: We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with expertise in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join a thriving primary school in Harrow, London. This is a full-time, long-term position, offering a daily salary of £85-£100. As an SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorder, you will be supporting students in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping them achieve their full potential academically and socially. You will work one-on-one and in small groups with students, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need to thrive. Your role will be key in building strong, trusting relationships with students, encouraging positive behaviour, and fostering an inclusive learning environment. You will be joining a highly experienced and passionate SEN team, where your input and ideas will be valued. The role requires patience, empathy, and an ability to create a calm, structured environment for children with additional needs. Application Requirements: • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in an educational setting. • A commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing environment for all students. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • A calm, compassionate, and patient approach. • Relevant qualifications or experience in supporting SEN students (desirable). Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with ASD in KS1 and KS2. • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities tailored to the students’ needs. • Create structured, supportive routines for students, helping them engage fully in their learning. • Encourage and support positive social interactions between students. • Monitor and track progress, providing feedback to teachers and SENCO.
