Operations Manager – Glass & Glazing Firm in Crawley We are looking for an exceptional Operations Manager from the glass fitting and glazing industry for a glass and glazing business based in Crawley. As the Operations Manager, you will play a role that is critical to ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations. A talented Operations Manager who can manage a team of engineers, and ensure the timely completion of projects while adding value with strong profit and loss management is who would suit this role. Key responsibilities of the Operations Manager include: * Overseeing operational planning and coordination of glass and glazing installations and repairs. * Managing financial aspects to reduce costs and increase profitability while maintaining quality. * Ensuring high-quality control standards are adhered to across all projects. * Engaging in forecasting and strategy development to support the company's long-term growth. * Managing the supply chain, from procuring materials to delivering glass and glazing products to customer sites. The ideal Operations Manager will have: * Significant experience in operations or project management within the glass and glazing or construction industry. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of engineers and subcontractors. * Proven ability to balance customer satisfaction, quality control, and team performance. * Flexibility to oversee multiple sites and ensure deadlines are met, often in a fast-paced environment. * A proactive, problem-solving mindset to improve processes and efficiency. Working Hours & Benefits: * Salary: £50,000 -£65,000 per year depending on experience (subject to review after 6 months) * Bonus: Performance-based * Contract Type: Full-time, permanent * Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (additional time may be required for urgent deadlines) * 2 Saturdays per month as needed * Holidays: 28 days per year, including bank holidays (pro-rated based on 3 days per week) * Pension Scheme: NEST scheme after 3 months of probation (3% employee contribution, 5% employer contribution) Company Structure: * 3 office-based staff * 6 engineers on the road * 4 company vans * Office and yard based in Crawley This would suit an Operations Manager who is hands-on and will view the business as their own.
