About The Job
The position is based in the Paris Area, France. The primary focus of this role is to lead and coordinate the environmental strategy consistently with the Operations, the QHSES teams, and the Sustainability teams. Strive for continuous improvement in overall environmental performance and the management system.
The role which you will play
You will play a crucial role in leading and coordinating the environmental strategy of the organization. You will be responsible for driving the organization forward in terms of environmental performance and governance and will steer the implementation of the environmental strategy.
You will work closely with Operations (Engineering-Procurement-Construction), Sustainability & Strategy Department, and the QHSES teams across the group to ensure that the environmental strategy is consistently implemented and that there is continuous improvement in overall environmental performance. You will lead the Environmental working group and directly manage the Environmental team. You will initiate, propose new ideas, develop, supervise, and control the Group environmental strategy.
The Global Environmental Manager will be part of the global QHSES Organization. You will report directly to the Global HSE Director.

Climate physical risk
Circular Economy & Eco design

Responsibilities
Steering and implementation
Lead and coordinate the environmental strategy consistently with the Operations, the QHSES teams, and the Sustainability teams in line with policies and strategic orientations.
Strive for continuous improvement in overall environmental performance and the management system.
Contribute to identify priority topics for the Group, formalize them, summarize the constituent elements, and make them understood.
Deploy, steer, and coordinate the environmental approach within all the Business lines and Operating Center of the Group.
Ensure a periodic diagnostic of the points to improve in the environment domain.
Define and/or develop indicators allowing to monitor the performance of the strategy and propose action plans.
Perform regulatory watch & ensure compliance.
Perform code & standard watch and propose strategy as required by company strategy.
Communication
Contribute to the external communication plan (investors, etc.) and annual reporting.
Develop internal communication plan to steer and enhance the environmental culture within the Group, sharing strategy, objectives, environmental performance, etc.
Regularly communicate notably on commitments, results, and steer the annual report consolidation.
Represent the Group externally (EPE, AFEP, etc.) on topics related to the environment.
Reporting
Responsible for the internal and external environmental reporting.
Continuously improve the process and tools required for the environmental reporting of the Group.
Main Skills
Leadership and project management (committee management, action plan implementation, extra-financial reporting, regulatory watch).
Excellent knowledge of implementing environmental management systems.
Sound ability to summarize and report on complex technical issues.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English language (Level C2).
Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment with excellent teamwork skills.
Eager to contribute and be impactful.
Strong networker.
Experience
Experience in driving a team and a Global Organization.
Experience working with multi-cultural and international teams.
Implementation of Environmental certifications.
Driving digitalization projects within the Environmental scope.
At least 8 years in a similar position.
Education
Master's degree in environmental management or a relevant professional qualification, like ecology or energy efficiency.
