This knowledge and understanding of the Rail & Transit sector along with a P3 contracts model in Canada helps SENER to undertake a proper approach to overcoming its expansion in other infrastructure sectors in Canada. Position Overview The role of the Business Development Director (B.D.D.) will be to support SENER in its goal to grow and to be recognized and marketed as the main player in Canada. The B.D.D. will play a pivotal role in expanding SENER’s existing clients and project base in Canada and in efforts to position the firm to acquire new business in Mobility sectors in Canada. This role will directly report to our CEO based here in Toronto. The Director will work together with SENER Business Development Management, local SENER leaders, and will report to our CEO based in Toronto to continue SENER’s growth & success in Canada. Responsibilities You will be responsible for: Collaborating to develop objectives and strategies in support of overall business development management goals in the target market segments, assisting in the development and implementation of strategic plans. Identifying priorities and strategic opportunities in the Canadian market. Actively contributing to the growth of SENER in Canada through business development, key pursuit, and sales strategy. Leading and/or conducting business development efforts, including market research, client relationships, teaming process, developing bids, and securing contracts. Working effectively with SENER’s proposals and bid team. Negotiating with and/or assisting in negotiations with clients, partners, and subcontracts. Utilizing, maintaining, and monitoring the opportunity pipeline to optimize business development plans. Partnering with market leaders to drive collaboration on pursuits. Ensuring local marketplace reputation through established relationships and support of leadership. Being accountable to achieve organic growth targets. Job Requirements Must have: Elite Business Development and relationship-building skills. 8-10 years of experience in business development at the Director or Senior Manager level. Deep knowledge of the local business market from a technical and business standpoint. A proven track record of establishing and maintaining client relationships in the Canadian rail/civil engineering market. Business Analytical Skills and knowledge of advanced negotiating approaches and tactics. The ability to maintain existing client relationships in addition to developing new ones. Ability to report data and analyze data for relevant trends. Well-organized, energetic, and able to work well under pressure. Ability to work independently and take discretionary initiative. Good communication and presentation skills. Ability to speak Spanish is an asset but not mandatory. Engineering background is an asset in Civil or Rail Engineering. Strong computer proficiency, especially in PowerPoint and Excel. Entrepreneurial attitude and mindset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
