Overview: Lead and drive implementation of category strategies in the local operational environment. Maximize the savings associated with the spend managed locally as defined by Category teams. Participate in the development of the procurement strategy and lead the rollout of same within a Plant, Region or Business Segment as well as implement procurement process and procedures while assuring KPI’s. Manage spend of $800 Million. Responsibilities: Manage the operational, strategic and tactical Procurement of goods and services categories in accordance with Holcim category strategy, as well as applicable policies, procedures and specifications. Act as the point of contact between Category Management Global and North America Regional and l and Operations. Drive the realization of savings, supply efficiency, quality, and process improvements in country, in line with regional and global strategies. Identify saving opportunities and initiate individual projects and initiatives at all operational levels. Manage and develop Procurement Managers, Warehouse Managers and Buyers. Lead long and short-range regional procurement & warehousing activities to support the Procurement roadmap and business objectives. Provide procurement input at the Country, Plant, NA Regional and Business Segment levels to support the operation of the business. Represent Head of Procurement in Exco meetings in WCAN Attend Global Procurement meetings with Head of Global Procurement Dimensions: Reporting relationship: Reports to the Head of Procurement North America Direct Reports: 5+ Procurement Managers Indirect Reports: 14+Direct Regional Spend: $1 Billion Relationships with Other Jobs: Country CEO and Executive Committee Functional and Manufacturing Senior Management Operational Management (e.g. Plant Managers) Global and NA Region Category Management Global Performance Global Chief Procurement Officer Qualifications: Education: Bachelors/Undergraduate degree required in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or Economics with additional qualification in Management, Business, or Procurement (MBA) preferred. Master’s/Graduate Degree Preferred ISM CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) Experience & Skill Set: 10+ years in procurement role (category management, sourcing, operations) with exposure to supply chain management, strategic sourcing and optimal procurement processes and standards Demonstrated performance working within cross-functional teams, with requisite drive and energy to ensure that a challenging benefits and capability building agenda is successfully delivered Proven experience in leading a cohesive team while creating a vision and strategies towards achieving ambitious goals.
