Big Data Specialist

You will be responsible for translating client requirements into design, architecting, and implementing GCP Cloud-based big data solutions. Your role will focus on delivering high-quality solutions by driving design discussions related to Data Ingestion, Transformation & Consumption, Data Storage and Computation Frameworks, Performance Optimizations, Infrastructure, Automation & Cloud Computing, and Data Governance & Security. Key responsibilities include providing technical leadership, implementing data engineering solutions, leading teams to deliver big data technologies-based solutions, establishing standard data practices, and managing data program implementation. Additionally, you will participate in workshops with clients, consult on data-related matters, and provide technical leadership and mentorship. Your skills and experience should include 8+ years of IT experience with 3+ years in Data related technologies, expertise in GCP Cloud services, and experience in delivering end-to-end Big Data solutions on GCP Cloud. You should also be an expert in programming languages like Java/ Scala and have experience in distributed data processing frameworks, Hadoop eco-system, and NoSQL solutions. Good exposure in development with CI / CD pipelines and knowledge of containerization, orchestration, and Kubernetes engine is an added advantage. Certification on GCP cloud platform or big data technologies, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an excellent understanding of data technologies landscape/ecosystem are also required.
