Senior Mechanical Engineer

DRS Pivotal Power is part of the Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics group and has currently over 30,000 fielded units boasting a field reliability of over 99%.The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for mechanical design and drafting, as well as performing analysis of aerospace communications systems electronic packaging. The role will interact with other disciplines within the organization and participate in collaborative teamwork.Job ResponsibilitiesInvolved with the design, fabrication and modification of mechanical and/or electro mechanical components, sub-systems and systems. May include Mechanical, Thermal, and Fluid Analysis, Mechanical Packaging, or others.Evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or services. Investigate solutions to product or process problems.Responsible for leading and mentoring a team of engineers on a technical activity and completion of activity on time and budget.Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems.
